Dr. Anjana Anand is a highly regarded Consultant Clinical Oncologist with over a decade of experience specialising in the treatment of gynaecological cancers. Based at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, Dr. Anand has been at the forefront of oncology care since her appointment in 2010, offering advanced, personalised treatments to her patients. Her expertise, combined with her commitment to providing patient-centred care, makes her one of the leading oncologists in the Midlands, serving Nottingham, Derby, Lincoln, and beyond.
Dr. Anand’s clinical expertise spans the comprehensive management of gynaecological cancers, including Cervical, Uterine, Ovarian, Vulval & Vaginal Cancers.
Dr Anand has extensive experience in adjuvant and palliative chemotherapy, concurrent chemo-radiotherapy for cervix cancers, immunotherapy and hormonal therapies for endometrial cancers, use of VEGF and PARP inhibitors in ovarian cancers. She is proficient in advanced radiotherapy techniques – Intensity modulated radiotherapy (IMRT), High dose rate (HDR) brachytherapy and palliative radiotherapy.
Dr Anand is actively involved in clinical research, being a Principal Investigator and sub investigator in several phase 2 and 3 national and international trials. She is regularly invited to attend advisory board meetings by Astra Zeneca, GSK, Tesaro and Regeneron.
Dr. Anand works closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure that every patient receives thorough and personalised consultations, with a focus on developing effective and tailored treatment plans based on the latest evidence-based practices.
